Surat gets best city bus services national award for attracting 87% of private vehicles, rickshaw users


One more feather has been added into the Gujarat Government’s development hat and good news for the people of Gujarat and Surat. Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has been chosen Surat Municipal Corporation for the “Best City Bus Services Award”. Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs have chosen Surat for succeeding attracting 87% of the private vehicle owners to use the public transport. 

People of Surat is heavily dependant on private vehicles till Government’s Bus Rapid Transport System and other public transportation were made operational. Currently, in Surat more than 275 buses are in operation in the city on more than 29 routes. Fastest constructed Metro Rail Project of Kochi has been chosen as the ‘Best City in Urban Transport Initiative’ category for its innovative features including implementation in integration with Water Transport. With an aim to promote the best practices in urban transport, Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs announces these awards at annual Urban Mobility India Conference. Read More

Surat Municipal Corporation Uses Waste Plastic For Road Construction


From the beginning, Gujarat Government has worked hard behind the Swachh Bharat Mission. Surat Municipal Corporation takes one step forward towards Swachh Gujarat. Recently, Surat Municipal Corporation has started to making the roads with the help of waste plastic and relatively garbage. Initially, SMC selected the Amroli-Sayan road for the experiment in which Government mixes the waste plastic with the conventional material. 

Surat’s new Municipal Commissioner, Shri M. Thennarasan has taken this decision do ask the contractors to use waste plastic to build the strong roads. Shri M. Thennarasan has taken this decision because Surat Municipal Corporation has spent more than Rs. 200 crores every year behind road construction. Under Swachh Gujarat, Students of Surat start campaign to clean Tapi


Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi launched Swachh Bharat Mission, soon after Gujarat CM Smt. Anandiben Patel launched Swachh Gujarat to make state clean and diseases free. A group of motley people of Surat’s Veer Narmad South Gujarat University decide to take this campaign forward. They have begun a drive to make Surat’s Tapi river clean and pollution free. 

Students came with new ideas and banners to stick on bridge wall. Apart from this they also done fencing on the wall of bridge for safety and message to “Use Dustbin”. Surat Municipal Corporation made huge banners and hoardings to aware the people about the importance of Cleanliness. One students named Jeet Shukla said that  people are offering flowers in river and make river dirty. This is how an idea came to make banner using different flowers and stick it on the bridge wall. He also added that this river is lifeline of Surat city and time by time river was shrinking and got more polluted. Polluted water killed many sea inspect. 

Well honestly, in my personal point of view, this is great step by the students . As strong supporter of Swachh Bharat Mission, I would request rest of all the people to contribute a little towards govt’s mission and make state and country clean and healthy.

Guj CM inaugurates Book Fair and dedicates development works worth 160 crore in Surat


Gujarat governance is working with the motto to keep working with sustain development. By following this commitment, Governance is steadily bring the change in policies and doing many development works. Gujarat chief minister Smt. Anandiben Patel inaugurate Swami Vivekananda National Book fair in surat. Apart from this she also dedicated several other development works in surat which are worth Rs. 160 crore. 

In her speech, Gujarat CM urge to Surat administration to organize a book fair and include the book of ideals and constitution in it. She said this is how we can spread more awareness about constitution and children can better aware about it from their young age. Gujarat govt is always in favour of herbal treatment. Explaining of the benefits of herbal treatment she said that many diseases are completely cured by herbal treatment. Herbal treatment takes time but diseases completely cured. She also assure the people of surat the feasibility study for Surat metro train will be starting soon. 

Gujarat governance sent the plan of smart city plan to center and Gujarat CM showing the hope to select maximum cities to get shortlisted from Gujarat. Read More

Gujarat Govt Announce Policy for Eco-Friendly Idols used during Festivals


Gujarat government is thinking from all the sides and making every edge of Gujarat Gatisheel. Gujarat government announced policy for eco-friendly idols which are used during the festivals. Government taking this decision because normally plaster of paris idols not just harm the environment and river plants are also not grow. 

Government starting this pilot project for Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara and around 1000 idols workers gets training under this project. For those who are ready to make clay idols, instead plaster of Paris to whom Government also provide tool kits, training and other stuff on reasonable prices. 

Government arranged a sales fair for clay idols in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and also provide a stall free of cost to workers. Government’s this decision will surely bring new era in idols manufacturing sector in Gujarat.

Gujarat Govt Adopt Redevelopment Policy For Affordable Housing Policy


After a long time gujarat government is all set to announced redevelopment policy to initiate affordable housing colonies. This is confirmed by the senior official today in morning. Government is planning to build 1 lakh affordable houses in the cities like rajkot, vadodara, ahmedabad and of course surat. this is said by Mona Khandhar secretary of Urban Development and Urban Housing.

According to Mona Khandhar, This redevelopment policy is ready and will be announced  in a very short time. She added that we are prepare final policy draft and I have to say that this is the first time in gujarat announced the redevelopment policy.

Surat Based Diamond Companies to Start Airline Service Between Surat-Amreli


We all know that Gujarat is continually walking on development path. If we take a look on the development activity than we noticed that recently in gujarat so many development are done. Gujarat government believes in to make gujarat better state in compare to other state. Gujarat CM Smt. Anandiben Patel is also noted every move government and measure that development is really happens or not. 

Recently one diamond company make a drastic announcement. Diamond city surat is really good. and Diamond aeronautics who headquarter is in surat is planning to start daily flight service between Surat to amreli. 

By providing the daily flight facility this diamond firm connects Surat, Bhavnagar and Rajkot. Prominent people of Amreli demands to start a connecting flight between surat to amreli on regular basis. In this regard a representation was made before state Civil Aviation Minister Saurabh Patel. 

However runway of Amreli airport is not good to start such facility, so, government first make runway operable and then after this flight service going to start.

Gujarat Farmer Inspires From Krishi Mahotsav & Cultivates Gerbera


Government of gujarat is offers to many initiatives towards farming to help farmers more and more. There are several initiatives like Krishi Mahotsav, Krishi Vikas and many other facilities are helpful to farmers.

Gujarat farmer Shri Dhavalbhai Patel take inspiration from Krishi Mahotsav and Krishi Vikas and increase his knowledge towards modern and scientific farming. He cultivates gerbera by attempting tissue culture.

He earns quite good profit through this gerbera. He Sell ten flowers in 22 to 25 rupees. He cultivates different colors flower and earn more than 2.50 lakh rupees. Apart from surat people of Mumbai and delhi are also demanding gerbera flowers. He built greenhouse and proudly said that I’m glad that today people counting me in modern farmer.
