Under Swachh Gujarat, Students of Surat start campaign to clean Tapi

Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi launched Swachh Bharat Mission, soon after Gujarat CM Smt. Anandiben Patel launched Swachh Gujarat to make state clean and diseases free. A group of motley people of Surat’s Veer Narmad South Gujarat University decide to take this campaign forward. They have begun a drive to make Surat’s Tapi river clean and pollution free.

Students came with new ideas and banners to stick on bridge wall. Apart from this they also done fencing on the wall of bridge for safety and message to “Use Dustbin”. Surat Municipal Corporation made huge banners and hoardings to aware the people about the importance of Cleanliness. One students named Jeet Shukla said that  people are offering flowers in river and make river dirty. This is how an idea came to make banner using different flowers and stick it on the bridge wall. He also added that this river is lifeline of Surat city and time by time river was shrinking and got more polluted. Polluted water killed many sea inspect.

Well honestly, in my personal point of view, this is great step by the students . As strong supporter of Swachh Bharat Mission, I would request rest of all the people to contribute a little towards govt’s mission and make state and country clean and healthy.
