Gujarat Becomes First State in Cashless Public Distribution System


Under the direction of Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani, the state is moving ahead day by day and achieved new development milestones. One more feather added in the hat of state Government. Gujarat has become the first state by implementing the 100% digital transaction and cashless economy in public distribution system. This digital system has connected beneficiaries of the more than 17,250 fair price shops with the Adhar card. 

If we are comparing this with the rest of the state than Gujarat has achieved this milestone very much in advance. Union Minister for Civil Supply and Public Distribution Minister Shri Ram Vilas Paswan congratulated the state Government and administration for this achievement.  Pushing the Digital Gujarat mission forward state Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani to urge state administration to provide arrangements for some services such as monthly passes of ST buses for students, electricity bill payment in coming days.
