Voting Phase 4 - Elections 2019

Polling for 72 parliamentary constituencies is currently underway in nine states of India in the fourth phase of national elections.

Voting will take place in 17 seats in Maharashtra, 13 each in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, eight in West Bengal, six each in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, five in Bihar, three in Jharkhand and a part of the Anantnag constituency in Jammu and Kashmir.

In all, the fate of 961 candidates would be sealed today including union Ministers Giriraj Singh, Subhash Bhamre, S.S. Ahluwalia and Babul Supriyo of the BJP and former Union Ministers Salman Khurshid and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury of the Congress

Gujarat Election 2019 Phase 3: 10.32% voting Percentage till 10 am

Gujarat Lok Sabha Election 2019

Polling for the third phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 is underway across 115 Lok Sabha constituencies in the country. The electorate in 14 states and one UT are exercising their franchise. Polling started at 7 am and will go on till 6 pm. Gujarat is one of the states, which is voting for a total of 26 seats today, with 371 candidates in the fray. According to PIB, voting is being held across 714 polling stations with an expected 4.5 crore voters expected to cast their ballot in Gujarat. 

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the voting percentage in Gujarat till 10 am is recorded at 10.32%.

BJP president Amit Shah cast his vote from Naranpura area in Ahmedabad of the city, where he is registered as a voter. Shah appealed to voters across the state and throughout the country to vote for a strong and prosperous country.

Flanked by his wife, granddaughter and other members of the family, Shah arrived at the Naranpura sub-zonal office and cast his vote, after which he visited the Kameshwar Mahadev temple located adjacent to the polling booth. 

"I am appealing to voters across the 26 LS seats of Gujarat as well as those across the country to come out and vote in large numbers and register their participation in this festival of democracy......"

BJP will win all 26 seats in Gujarat: CM Vijay Rupani

Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani on Saturday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win 26 out of 26 seats in the state. He said that the people of Gujarat have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he will do well for the state. Voting for phase three of the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 115 parliamentary constituencies spread across 14 states on April 23. Gujarat (26) will go for polling in the third phase.
