BJP begins campaigning with Vijay Sankalpa Yatras

BJP formally kicked off its election campaign by holding Vijay Sankalp Yatra in all 25 Lok Sabha constituencies from Sunday. Four Union ministers - Prakash Javadekar, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Vijay Goel and, Arjun Ram Meghwal - along with former chief minister Vasundhara Raje addressed public rallies at different places seeking support for BJP. The Vijay Sankalpa Yatra will cover the entire state in the next three days.

Former chief minister and BJP vice-president Vasundhara Raje held the fort in Bagru area of Jaipur Lok Sabha seat. She slammed Congress of making false promises during the Vidhan Sabha polls. "They are exposed. it's been more than 100 days but the Gehot government has not been able to fulfil any promises made by them," said Raje who asked the party workers to ensure the victory of Jaipur LS candidate Ramcharan Bohra.

Gujarat Government rolls out “Safe and Secure Gujarat” Project

Safe and Secure Gujarat Project

As part of public safety and security infrastructure, Government of Gujarat has rolled out “Safe and Secure Gujarat” initiative. Orange Business Services has been chosen to install and improve the security of the state by implementing surveillance and intelligent traffic management system to reduce crime and traffic violations. The Surveillance solution powered by Orange will also be rolled out to ensure safety and surveillance for the “Statue of Unity”.

Counted among one of India’s largest smart city projects, the initiative will be executed in two phases. The first phase will cover 40 cities and further expand to cover all 120 cities across the state. Under the first phase, Orange along with nodal agency Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL) will be responsible for the development of a robust system for 34 command and control centers, and one Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in the capital. The scope includes implementation, operations and management for five years.

Gujarat Announces Policy for small-scale Solar Power Generation

Small Scale Solar Power Generation 

Aspiring to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambition for raising the renewable power generation in the country, the Gujarat government on Wednesday announced a 'small scale distribution solar project' policy for producers of up to 500 KW to 4 megawatts (MW).

Energy and Petrochemical Minister Saurabh Patel said, "Gujarat's geographical situation has vast and immense potential for renewable power generation such as solar and wind energy. We have framed a policy for small power producers of solar projects wherein even owner of a small waste land will be able to generate power and sell it in the state."

According to the policy, private landowners who have waste and non-productive land will be able to set up solar power projects with a capacity between 500 kilo watts to 4 MW.

Gujarat Government to help Build Ayodhya Ram Statue

Ayodhya Ram Statue to be Build by Gujarat Government

The proposed massive statue of Lord Ram to be built in Ayodhya will come up with the help from Gujarat Government. the Cabinet on Saturday decided UP government will sign an MoU with Gujarat government to provide technical assistance for the construction of the statue.

"We will take inspiration from the Gujarat model under which Sardar Patel statue was built. The area around the statue will have a digital museum, interpretation centre, library, parking, food plaza, landscaping etc., said government spokesperson Shrikant Sharma
