Govt of India Launch it’s Own OS named BOSS to replace Microsoft Windows


Government take one step towards Make In India campaign. Or we can say that one another step has been taken towards digitization of India. Government of India will launching their own operating system named BOSS (Bharat Operating System Solutions). This is a free operating system and initially developed by National Resource Center for Free/Open Source Software (NRCFOSS) of India in year of 2007.

According to official sources report, This OS unveiled and discussed in internal meeting of home ministry this week. Apart from this, this OS has been certified by Linux foundation. Government also planning to use this operating system for official department and replace current operating system like Microsoft and other. During the trial period C-DAC tested all the possible attacks on this operating system.

This OS is available in 18 national language such as Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Malayalam and many other. Currently government  looking for private organization who take this OS to next level and develop more inside.
